Case Study: St Mellion Golf Course

In 2009, our commercial contracting department was appointed to undertake quite an unusual job - the reconstruction of the buggy tracks on the Nicklaus Course at St Mellion, prior to the English Open Championship coming to the course in 2012. Over 6,000 metres of track was widened by 0.5 of a metre and then resurfaced using aggregates, stone and Glenbit. During this time, access to the course had to be maintained for golfers and our teams had to take great care to limit the damage caused to the area by equipment and machinery.
