Quarry Manager - North Cornwall

We are currently seeking a Quarry Manager for our newly acquired site at Penhill Quarry, near Bude in North Cornwall. This gritstone quarry specialises in the production of high quality aggregates for use in the manufacture of asphalt, this is in addition to its routine aggregates business. This is both an exciting and challenging role, you will be joining us as we evaluate and integrate this new operation into our existing and well-established business portfolio. The acquisition and development of this new site will bring added value to the business for many years to come.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the management of a hardstone operation, providing leadership to an experienced team. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the quarry and associated activities, including full compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards whilst remaining fully focused on cost and output control to achieve continuous improvement in performance.

In addition to this you will have or be working towards SHE NVQ Level 4/5 status and be qualified as an Explosives Supervisor.
