Enviromat™

One of the key ways in which Glendinning demonstrates its commitment to the environment and sustainability is through the development of low carbon and sustainable products, which are also increasingly being specified by contractors and authorities alike.

One such product is 'Enviromat™', a cold-lay Asphalt Foam Mix which uses recycled products - offering a viable alternative to products made with quarried stone.

As this product utilises recycled materials it not only reduces the demand for the extraction of primary materials, it also requires less energy to produce than conventional asphalt production methods.

Although similar to conventional asphalt, Enviromat™ is produced by coating the recycled road planings with foamed bitumen to form a homogeneous mass. A further benefit is that this material can be stored, unlike traditional asphalt which has a very limited shelf life.
